I was thinking about putting the double head light kit and the gsxr tail on my YSR and wondering if anyone has done it? What were the quality of the kit? How was it getting the lights all back on? Anything crazy with the install?

Hey, i jus finished fitting my full r7 cheetah kit and it was pretty easy....only a few mounting points so you cant really go wrong.
use a dremel.......does the job alot quicker!
as for the quality, im not sure bout the gixxer tail (old hump style) or double headlight bodywork...but my cheetah racing r7 kit is not thick as the stock kit obviously but my kit is alot more stiffer then a friends kit (r1 with newer style gixxer tail) that he bought on ebay......when im finish with the raptor headlight install...ill add more fiberglass to make it stiffer for sure.
oh one more thing...will you be removing the nuts/bolts/rubber bushings from your old kit?...if not you can just buy a new complete set from teamcalamari for cheap
hope that helps

They are $400 on ebay YSR R7 Cheetah body kits: motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZmtcywhlsl or serch ebay for seller ~ mtcywhlsl Remember to look at the links page I have it on there also. There are lots of good links on there. As for the double head light kit. I was told the TCR one fits good. The YSR50.COM has clearance issues between the light & speedo. (They had lots of problems wit thier body kits! Clearance problems, some parts dont fit unless you cut & reglass them, they were flimsy in parts & way too thick around the headlights, etc., etc., etc. I think they had too many pissed off customers. Probably why they are not around any more? Cant say for sure.) I can say from personal experiance, my R1 kit from them SUCKS!!!!!!! There are air bubbles everywhere! The finish is verry rough. I dont even think its gellcoat! A stock lower was used as a mold. so the patr is too small / under sized & doesnt fit well! the long point hits on the kickstand. The seat is about 1/2 of an inch too wide on both sides, at the mounting holes & they are at the wrong angles. (ill have to cut them & & reglass them so it will fit. The upper minus the headlights weighs about 3 times as much as a stock with a headlights! The headlights fit like crap. The windscrean is way off center. I think you get the idea. Everyone Ive talked to had verry similar problems & were verry dissatisfied!!!!!

I just put the gsxr tail on mine it was easy, just had to drill new mounting holes. As far as the lights haven't figured that out yet. I bought the bike from a guy who used it strictly for racing so it was striped to bare min. The light doesn't mount to the tail so i got the rear mounting bracket from e-bay but still no luck , the tail is longer then the oem. I guess I'm gonna have to invent something unless I'm missing something and someone can help?

Just to let you know, mtcywhlsl is the same as cheetah racing bodies.com Price on ebay is ususally cheaper than the price on the webpage. I bought mine a month ago, some very minor issues but overall very good set
