just wondering I have my lights hooked up except my front signals which I do not Have yet. Now my tail light works as well as the brake switch on the rear brakes and front brake ( brightens tailight when engaged) my oil light on the speedo is also lit up I think I have to change my high beam turn indicater and neutral light bulbs. Now should my rear signal lights be on even tho my front signals are not wired in.?
thanx tholme1

If you are running the factory signals, I dont believe they will light up with the fronts not installed. If this is true the signal bulb will be off too. I am positive that they wont flash. Hell they dont flash well even with all new parts (batery, bulbs, relay, etc.). The stock signals were a piss pore deasign. only worked ok if you kept the rpm's up.

all the electronics (turn signals) must be in place and be functional in order for the turn signals to operate normally. All the bulbs in place close the electrical circuit.
If the flasher goes out, the turn signal light within the speedo will just stay lit (solid yellow light), and obviously the turn signal (left or right) will either not blink or illuminate....if I recall from past experience.

thanx airdreams\ysrcali for the info I figured maybe that was the case, now I feel A little relief that it was not something else but im sure when I get my front signals and plug them in I,ll be chasin something else. I have a clutch kit that came with the bike (friction plates and springs from tcr) Is this job a difficukt one an or any special tools required? and how long it would take approx.

No its prity simple. As for time thats hard to say, as I dont know your skills. I did mine in less than a 1/2 hr. Id recomend replacing the side cover gasket & kick start seal, (remove the oil injector if desired.) If you dont have the cryo plates , push rod & ball Id recomend getting & replacing them at the same time. (check your push rod if there is a large dent in the end closest to the clutch, then you know it + the ball needs replaced)

Lance,
Would you happen to have a pic of the area "cryo plates , push rod & ball Id"? and or a pic (example) of a push rod with the dent you speak of?
When I had replaced my clutch plates within my YSR motor, I had no idea I was to inspect and or replace the "push rod".
OH! Tholme1,
You'll need a torque wrench for the 4 screws that secure the clutch plate/basket assy. The torque setting should be included with the instructions of the clutch replacement kit. If not, call TCR, they can tell you.

I dont have a pic ( I dont have a pdf repair manual, I can try to take a pic later tonight) 1 half of the push rod is accesable from the L side cover (its the litle 1/8 rod sticking out that actuates the clutch) & goes althe way through the case to the clutch side the ball is inbetween the 2 rods.If worn your clutch wont work properly.
