Just wondering if any one could give me an idea of the speed my bike will reach with the setup i have. I have a 20 mm carb with k/n filter from tcr as well as a set of dual stage power reeds new piston and rings and running a twin stinger. I dont have it running yet but i am getting close. If someone could give me an approx. top end speed that would be great.

Thanks for the quick reply I was hopeing (70) mph but 65 will have to do. I would like any input on how to squeeze this thing for a little more go go. i have went with the rear shock bushing and in the future will be adding a fork brace as well as swing arm bushings. I will be running this as pretty much a daily driver therefor have to compromise between all race and reliability. thanks again tholme1
I do have some parts that I will be selling or trading for parts that i need.

You will start loose low end if you gear it much difrant. Defanatly get the fork brace, spring kit, & swingarm bushings..
The port & squash band mods will give you a litle more power, & you may be able to change the gearing a bit more. From what I understand, its enough that youll notice the difrance. Exactly how much Im unsure of. (I havent done them) I think you get just a bit more power if you run a 24mm carb with thoes mods. The best way to get all your power to the ground is with the bronz swing arm bushings, shock bushing, (works or fox shock if you have tuns of extra cash), clutch kit, progersive fork springs, & fork brace. Then start adding all the other stuff, The tripple clamp will help to stiffen up the front a bit more. The alum wheels (only a fiew more sets left) are lighter & will help you gain a bit more power (as wil adding all the rest of the alum light weight stuff. Its not that much. Im sure if you were to scientificly test it you might gain a mile or two to the top end & have a noticable difrance in take off power.) As fot the pipe- TCR probably the best all around pipe. The Toomy Race then the DG have the best top end. Botth the Pro flow T Toomy Crawford need the RPM's way up to produce the max HP. (toomy crawford will work the best only with every posible mod to the 50 motor) Dont forget the brakes. I recomend the Ferodo they are noticeably better than stock. I dont like the Galefer as they dont stop well if they get wet. The braded brake line will give you a bit more stoping power.
Call TCR & ask them what the HP & Speed difrance will be with the head & cilender mods. It might be worth it?
If you want 70+ then concider the Derbi motor. Its 6 speed trany & water cooled. Very reliable from what I hear. No vibration problems like the YZ80 & othe 2 stroke conversions. Its prity expensive.... I think you would spend around $1200...
If interested ask YSRCALI He can give you more info.
What parts are you looking for? What extra parts do you have?

1\ stock air box with air mods from tcr 2\ japan headlight and mount 3\rear grab handle with stock signals attached 4\ ! front stock signal 5\ speedo in kph 6\stock ehaust with different canister
I will have to go through some boxes and see what else I have these parts are what I seen just laying around. I do have a complete motor with all cables but the top end is siezed as well but I am not sure if I will let it go as I might recondition it as a spair.
I am in need of a front fork brace as well as an exhaust ( tcr twin stinger) flush mount signals triple clamp front nut pad and ignition with key.
I am wondering also do I need the ignition installed to the wiring harness in order for the bike to fire up. I have a new top end in the bike and I have never been able to start it as it came as a basket case and I have been working onit for 5 months all the wiring is hooked except the main key which I do not have. thanx tholme1

Im interested in the JDM headlight as I have a JDM YSR80 & posibly the rear grab bar. Let me know howmuch you want for thies parts. (dont realy need the stock signals but let me know how much you are wanting for them & I might buy them) As for the ignition, Do you have any of the orignal ignition? If so You can do this: ysrridersunite.proboards84.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1189226384 If not they are about $125 New from Yamaha. You can splice the Brown & Red ignition wires together & that should alow you to run the bike.
