Hey airdreams, I am thinking of going with the derbi kit after some deliberation on YSR50.com and was wondering what was involved with the 12volt conversion for the headlight.
Thanks for letting me know about the wheels, I will purchase a set today along with some IRC's

Its prity simple......
*First you need to melt the solder around the bulb *After the bulb falls in brake the glass bulb. Then just pore out the broken glass. *Youll need a needle nose pliers to remove the metal part of the bulb. *Youll need a light as a doaner Dont forhet th get the electrical "pigtail" ( most any old headlight will work, just needs to have replaceable light. I might be able to get you one if needed) *Then you remove the bulb holder from the doaner light. (be sure to test fit. You need to turn on the bulb & make sure that the headlight is in focus.. Move it in or out till it is. If you dont you may end up with a black spot.... where you cant see when riding at night. You can use a washer if it needs to come out) *If its metal you just solder it back on. (or you can use Jb weld Just be sure everything is roughed up & clean.) If plastic you need to use JB weld. ( dont wory the JB weld can take the heat. I believe its rated for 800 degrees. Ive done it both ways & have no problems with the JB weld.) *Change the pigtail......

Thats cool, I can send you mine when I go back and start working on the bike next week, so you have time to find parts.
I talked to flaysr(ray) last night and everything is a go for the yerbi!
Only problem now is, don't think I can afford the aluminum wheels with all the extra stuff thats more important i.e. sproket, chain, front brake kit w/pads, tach, etc. Its kind sad b/c thats all I wanted back in the day with my other one.... Hopefully I can find some used ones later on.
Have you/ do you know anyone with expirence on these wheels? Are they worth overextending myself now to get them? Let me know when you can get the parts and I'll ship my headlight out to you. How much$ btw?
Thanks again-jay

Are the taillights on your bikes JDM or did you mod them to be flush? If so, how is that done? Looks beautiful!

I made ot flush. I just recesed the light & opened up the tail ferring a bit. Also moved in the turnsignal mounts. Ill take a pic of it when I can get to it. If you do the same you can get 12v signals that fit the holes from minimotoman

Hey Lance,
If you can take pics of the process, that would help a lot as well. I may be doing this for my next YSR project.
