Just thouht Id share more of my tryed & tested info with you all.
You can buy a YSR ignition from Yamaha for around $125
OR
If you have a bad ignition on your YSR & need a new one, here is the cheep sulution!!!!!!
You can get most any 80's yamaha ignition & switch out the electrical plate.... (just be sure it looks the same.) The key will be difrant than the one that fits your gas cap & helmet .
It will take less than 10 minuts.
just remove the 2 screws on the botom of the stearing lock part, pull it apart, remove the electrical plate & relpace it with yours. Put it all back together & go ride.
Yes, Its that simple.
I just did 2 of them & & it cost me less than $35 for both (from ebay)
