OK. The motor is in, the harness is cut down, and I took it out for a nice little romp around today. It is fast and pulls hard up to around 55mph. It tops off around 65mph. The gearing is 14-38. I would like to get some ideas on gearing prefernces from others. So, was it all worth it? Yes and no. I can't complain because it was fairly cheap to do, but I would really like a WR250 motor in it. Only time will tell if the motor will hold up. Hopefully I will have the WR motor ready to go before the China motor goes POP. Electric start is very nice and pulling up to a gas pump and not having to mix is awesome.

I had a Lifan 150cc china motor in my YSR and I took it to places like Cedar Grove in the sequoia National forest (35 Miles back in a curvy road 6,000ft elevation change), Madera Ca from Fresno Ca, Back and forth to work and back for a month from Reedley Ca to Fresno Ca (30 Miles each way, and Shaver lake in 104 degree heat. (104 degrees and a 13% incline for 13 miles...) Luckily for me the china motors don't have enough power to blow themselves up -Tim
