hi lance, what's barf? yes i ride it on the street. it used to be my commute bike to and from work everyday. i love the attention it gets everywhere i go. makes me a real proud owner of a ysr50. i used cateye rechargeable lights. here's the link..... cateye.com/en/product_listing/55they discontinued the halogen headlights i used on my bike. one bulb is wide angle, the other is a spot lamp. takes 8 hrs for a full charge. if i use one lamp, it will run 4 hrs, and if i use both i get 2 hrs of bright light. if i dont use it at all, the nicd battery can hold its charge for over 5 months. i don't have a 6v battery....i use a batpac w/c works great for me. here are the upgrades on it.... 3" extended chromed swingarm cheetah racing body kit racing clutch 2nd fork spring tcr triple clamp tcr fork brace proflo chrome pipe alloy rims stainless steel brake line fox shock (orange spring) carbon fiber front fender jet kit (stage 2) carbon reeds aftermarket blinkers alloy rear sprocket tcr alloy peg risers lp chicane side mirrors (not in pic.....btw these are the best looking side mirrors for the ysr50/80) there may still be some more but i can't remember them anymore. so there you go.... have fun, ride safe.

Guess I should have said " How well can you see the road?" I am able to out run the stock headlight. Its just not bright enough for riding @ 65mph on unlighted back highways. (what makes it even worse is all the local animals, Dear, skunks, rabbits, racoons, rock chucks & other small rodents + all the domestic animals.) I know what you mean, My toomy race pipe is very loud! People have told me they can hear me for about a quarter mile (when standing out side & thats in town with a lot more noise.)

hi lance, its hard to say how bright it is compared to the stock headights because i bought the bike without it. most of the streets i pass at night are well lit. i guess all i can say is my lights are bright enough to make it street legal. i hope my reply helped.
