Hey guys! I just rode my 91 ysr80 home across town and I'm hooked!

I live in regina SK, we have a Kart track outside of town that holds track days and has even held mini road racing events.

the little bike is MINTY only 400km on it... looks so cute in the garage next to the busa ;D

Congrats on the new bike. Welcome to the site...
There are a bunch of mods available that will make the bike handle much better... If you should want to up grade.
I recomend Team Calamari Racing..

I've ben all over the net in the past few days... as far as I can tell the only mods are a fork/fender brace, stainless brake line and a gearing change.

first track day is the 15th... Fun stuff

These are the Items that you should probably get for racing:

The fork brace eliminates the braking torque that contributes to the flex of the front end. A definite plus for hard cornering.

Right Fork Spring Kit , no more front end dive! (Did you know that the YSR came from the factory with only one fork spring)

Top Clamp clamp can be used with the stock key switch, yet actually clamps to the fork tubes unlike the O.E.M.

Billet Aluminum Wheel Spacer takes the place of the speedo drive gear on the left front fork & significantly reduces drag. A must for racing.

Set Backs Moves the stock foot pegs back 1 inch and up 1 inch this is a must for knee dragging!

Ferodo or Galfer brake pads are 1000% better than stock! & Ferodo rear shocks.

Replace the stock rubber swing arm & shock bushings with space age composite bushing material. Eliminate lateral sloppiness that the stock rubber bushings cause. A must for hard cornering.

& If you want the front end up to the same/ similar quality as a NSR.

Front fork re-valving with compression and REBOUND! No more mid-corner jacking up and down, no more front fork chatter under hard braking.

Not to mention there are many light weight items that could help reduce the weight & gain a bit more Speed.
