Hi, I'm a newb to this site and the YSR in general. I currently race pocketbikes here in SoCal and am looking to add a minimoto (YSR) as well. I see that there are other peeps from SoCal in here! Any of you guys race 'em? Eventually, I'd like to get a bone-stock YSR in order to facilitate a faster learning curve when it comes to road racing. --Joseph

Hello Everyone,
I tranferred here from ysr50.com, hopefully this forum will be very resourceful. I have one ysr 50, which I restored to riding condition last August. It took me 18 months on and off. My bike has dual headligh front from TCR, electronic tacho, 20mm mikuni carb, hotwire, carbon reeds, and TCR double stinger pipe.
I am hoping more people will transfer from ysr50.com as that site is running on autopilot and may eventually be dead.

Hey Guys, I'm Ray from south Florida. I've had a YSR for the last 5 years and its great. This year will be # 5 at the True Grits in GA. (50cc fun run as seen on speed) This will be my 3rd year with my Derbi motor installed and i can't say anything better about it. I have the SP kit (72cc) with a 14-37 gearing and i have hit 83.2 MPH I go to Fuddruckers every thursday night wich is 40 miles away. I cruze at 65 @ 10,000. So if that isn't reliable power i don't know what is. We rode down to the Keys almost 400 miles on 2 Yerbis and one YSR 80. I am running the OKO 24 in favor over the Mikuni just because its easier to tune, plus it comes with the manifold. I have been doing the YERBI conversions for guys down here and abroad so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hello all. New to the board but not to YSR's. I have 10 at the moment in various stages. Crazy i know. There will be many for sale soon. Also selling off my extra parts. I did not join the group just to sell my parts. I sold my street legal NSR 50 and currently own a factory YSR 80 direct from Japan.

Howdy All,
Stumbled onto the site while researching top end rebuild kits for YSRs.
I have endurance raced YSRs in the Texas Mini GP series for a few years, but have not done so in at least a couple.
One of my team mates was moving and basically gave me his YSR. Its in need of a top end rebuild and a little TLC, but basically ready for the track, all signs of street legalness gone, safety wired, forks reworked, aftermarket shock and all that.
I live in Austin, TX and they recently built a shifter cart track out at the new airport. They are doing mini moto track days/nights now for $15 and looking forward to taking the YSR out there. And if the time allows possibly rejoining the TMGP.
I have great respect for the YSR and its reliability. Having participated in the 6 hour endurance race at the track in Henderson, Tx, Oakhill I believe is the name, in a July in Texas, and just flogging the poor little thing and it never uttering a whimper, how can I not.
Also, my street riding of full sized bikes has always improved when I am racing the YSR. Unlike the little pocketbikes, you can ride the YSR like the real, albeit downsized, motorcycle it is. Just about anything you learn on the track aboard the YSR can be applied to your full sized bike riding. Reading 'A Twist of the Wrist' and 'The Soft Science of Road Racing' were also big helps for both my YSR and Ducati 750ss '92 model riding.
Looking forward to perusing the boards here and gleaming as much info about these great little bikes that I can.
Thanks for making this place happen.
